Three Green Bay Packers football executives ran for the general manager's job in the past week. Two of them received promotions, with Brian Gutekunst getting the nod as GM.
The one man who did not, Eliot Wolf, may be on his way out very soon.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Wolf is interviewing with former Packers executive John Dorsey, now the Browns' general manager.
Schefter also says that Wolf has an offer from the Oakland Raiders, who have a former Packers executive as GM in Reggie McKenzie and has hired new former coach Jon Gruden back.
It was believed that Wolf would become the heir apparent to Ted Thompson after Wolf signed on recently as the Packers' director of football operations, but that title has now been given to Russ Ball, the executive vice president of football administration.
