Pregame story

As the late, great coach of the Buffalo Bills (and Milwaukee Mustangs) Lou Saban once said, "You can get it done. You can get it done. What's more, you gotta get it done."

It is that mix of confidence and urgency that describes the 5-6 Green Bay Packers' situation as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7) today.

Both teams are in must-win mode, with five consecutive wins seemingly required for either team to even consider hope for the postseason - for the Packers, a record-tying ninth straight playoff berth in the balance.

This Buccaneers team can be beaten. Offensively, the key is to take advantage of a sometimes-porous running game and what may be a positive matchup for Davante Adams at wide receiver. (Not like Jordy and Randall can't make things happen, either.)

Defensively, the task could be formidable with the third-ranked passing game getting Jameis Winston back from injury, and the considerable Michael Irvin-like (as Wayne Larrivee describes) talents of Mike Evans at wide receiver.

It is must-do Sunday. It is can-do Sunday.

Stay tuned.
