The Packers made headlines this week. First, by Ty Montgomery not knowing his role with the team and questioning his teammates after his mistake on Sunday's final kickoff. Then, Montgomery getting traded for a future seventh round pick.
Veteran safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was also traded to the Redskins.
So were the deals more about the depth chart or locker room atmosphere?
“All those decisions are all of the above in some ways,” head coach Mike McCarthy tells WTMJ. “You have to go through each and every situation and look at it. There are things that go on during the course of the year. There’s definitely a business component.”
Now, it’s back to business as usual.
“We never really dealt with that on a Tuesday, the trade deadline. But what it does is it gives new guys new opportunities. That’s what we’re excited about as we prepare for New England.”
