The president of the Green Bay Packers gave a short update on the two most important things regarding the future of the team's all-world signalcaller.
"He's healthy. We hope to soon have a contract extension," Mark Murphy told Karen Dalessandro of WTMJ sister station KTI Country at Summerfest on Wednesday.
The Packers are working on signing Rodgers to a long-term extension which is expected to give him the largest per-year contract in NFL history, with potential deciding factors on the final deal involving guaranteed money and the ability to renegotiate.
However, that was not necessarily the prime thing on Murphy's mind Wednesday in Milwaukee. The Lambeau Live exhibit at Summerfest is - a feature of the Big Gig that will last all festival.
"The virtual reality, it's unbelievable. When you put the headset on, it's like you're right on the field with the players," said Murphy.
"It's pregame, so there's no tackling."
