The Milwaukee Brewers are getting some bullpen help.
Milwaukee is adding six-year MLB veteran pitcher J.J. Hoover via a minor league contract.
Hoover first spent five years with the Cincinnati Reds, where he went 16-19 with a 4.12 ERA. His 2016 was subpar, with a 1-2 record and a 13.50 ERA.
However, in Arizona last year, Hoover went 3-1 with a 3.92 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched.
