We already know that Tom Petty, P!nk, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the Big Gig’s 50th this year, but who else can we expect?
Journal Sentinel music critic Piet Levy has released his annual Summerfest predictions. Included are Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Lionel Richie, Zac Brown Band, The Chainsmokers, and Dierks Bentley.
“These are educated guesses,” Levy tells Wisconsin’s Morning News. “Every year I’ve been right on about half of these, so I have a 50% hit/miss ratio. The ones I think are mostly likely to happen are two country acts- Luke Bryan and Zac Brown Band.”
No, he’s not psychic. It just takes a little research.
“It’s just a matter of looking at the history, the mix, there’s a formula to it in a way,” adds Levy. “They obviously work with who they can get, but traditionally it’s three country headliners and then it’s just kind of a mix of stuff.”
