A 15-year-old student in North Fond du Lac has been arrested after police say he made threats via the mobile app Snapchat. Police say the teen warned fellow students and teachers against going to school, where they would "get what they deserve."
North Fond du Lac Police Chief Darren Pautsch says students who saw the Snaps in question contacted police before anything happened.
"He didn't have any weapons on him. There was no actual plans written out or drawn up that we're aware of. He indicated that it was meant to be a prank," says Pautsch.
The student was arrested upon arriving at school on Monday. An additional police presence stayed at the school throughout the day to reassure students and parents of their safety.
