The Milwaukee Police Department has released a video highlighting community and police values featuring new Chief Alfonso Morales.
In the video Chief Morales says, "If there is ever an incident when one of our officers makes a mistake...I'm going to be honest and transparent about it," and "In those instances where we have made mistakes and are wrong, I'm sorry."
The video comes days before the anticipated release of the video of Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown being tased outside a Walgreens in January.
Brown did not face criminal charges.
The officers' conduct during the incident has been under investigation since the arrest. Mayor Barrett indicated that Chief Morales is expecting a large reaction after the release of the Sterling Brown video at a news conference earlier this week.
"I have some of the same concerns that the chief has expressed over the video. I'm going to let the release of that speak for itself, but yes, I definitely have concerns after watching that video,” Barrett said.
The video is expected to be released soon.
