Marquette University police seek 2 suspects who robbed man near campus

MILWAUKEE – Police are looking for two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint overnight near the Marquette University campus.

Marquette Police say the incident happened at 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of 14th Street and State Streets. 

According to Marquette Police, two suspects followed a man into an apartment building, displayed a weapon and then struck the victim. They took the victim’s money, property and then fled on foot. 

The victim -- who is not affiliated with Marquette -- was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The first suspect is described by police as a black male in his mid-30’s, 5’8”, 140 pounds and was wearing black leather jacket and jeans. The second is described police as a black male in his mid-30’s, 6’, 170 pounds, and was wearing a light-colored shirt with dark lettering, jeans.

Anyone with information on these suspects is urged to call the police.
