Update: Per Washington County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, the deceased was a 94-year old male "who has appeared to have died of natural causes."

The USGA announced Friday that a spectator died at the U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills.

The organization didn't release any further information "out of respect for the family," according to a statement.
