The Green Bay Packers have cut a free agent defensive tackle and added a rookie free agent from the practice squad to the active roster.
Guard/tackle Adam Pankey joins the 53-man roster from the practice squad after the Packers release Ricky Jean Francois. The team also added guard Darrell Greene to the practice squad.
The Packers signed Jean Francois back in March as what was hoped to be an important addition to the defensive line. He only played one game in a Packers uniform, against Seattle on Sunday.
Pankey was an undrafted free agent from the University of West Virginia. He was second-team All-Big 12 last year.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed, but released Greene before the season after he spent the summer with the Eagles camp.
Additionally Wednesday, the Packers announced tackle Bryan Bulaga would miss practice due to illness. They did not give an initial update on the injured ankle that kept him out of the Packers-Seahawks game Sunday.
