Update: 5:04 p.m.

The Raiders have waived Trevor Davis, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Original story

A cornerback and kick returner for the Packers has been released after six weeks on a subpar year for the squad's special teams units.

The Packers announced they have released Tremon Smith.

Smith had no return yards in four punt return attempts, and averaged 23.3 yards per kickoff return for the Packers in his six games.

He recovered one fumble on defense as well.

The team had previously traded wide receiver and kick returner Trevor Davis to Oakland in September.

Davis has averaged 21.6 yards per kickoff return in 2019, and 8.5 yards per punt return this season while with the Raiders.
