For the first time since 2005, the Green Bay Packers are hosting another team during training camp.
The Houston Texans will have two practices, one on August 5 and one on August 6. Each will begin at 10:15 a.m. at Clarke Hinkle Field as a separate team practice. They will then join the Packers on Ray Nitschke Field for a joint practice.
The Packers want to make sure the Texans get the full Green Bay training camp experience. That is why they want kids who bring their bikes to help Packers players make their way to practice from Lambeau Field to do the same for the Texans. All Texans players will ride bikes, as long as there are enough available.
Those who want to help out the Texans can start lining up their bikes at 8 a.m. both days next to the visitor's locker room door near the South Gate of Lambeau Field. The rides will begin at 9:15 a.m. to Clarke Hinkle Field.
The Texans are in town to prepare for their preseason game against the Packers August 8 at Lambeau Field. The game is also the annual Upper Midwest Shrine Game, which will donate part of the gate to Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago.
