Madison, Wisconsin named best college football town in America by Sports Illustrated

The craziness of Camp Randall Stadium. The pregame party and tailgating scene. The beauty of Lake Mendota on a fall Saturday.

These are all reasons why someone would love to see a University of Wisconsin Badgers football game. (Besides the Badgers themselves, of course.)

Sports Illustrated's Joan Niesen cites many of those reasons why she ranks Madison as the best college football town in the United States of America.

Of course, these are all reasons UW fans know well. Plus, of course, the Jump Around at the start of the fourth quarter, the multiple styles of waves which the students section starts, and much Tom Foolery of many and different styles.

Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan was the other Big Ten selection among her top 10. The rest came from the southeastern part of America with the exception of the Pac-12's Colorado Buffaloes and Boulder, Colorado.
