Some bad news came for Milwaukee Bucks fans and those hoping for one of the NBA's signature events to come to the Brew City.
Longtime NBA reporter Marc Stein of the New York Times reports that the NBA has given Salt Lake City the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, a game for which Milwaukee and the Bucks made a heavy bid.

The Bucks made a high-publicity pitch to officials in New York, touting the team's new arena, Fiserv Forum.
However, the next three NBA All-Star games will be in arenas in the Bucks' Central Division:
- 2020: Chicago
- 2021: Indianapolis
- 2022: Cleveland
Salt Lake City, similar to Milwaukee in size, has hosted numerous major sporting events including the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and has a large major sports event infrastructure.
