Five days before the NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks have made their move in picking the man who will steer the direction of basketball operations for the future.
The Bucks have named Jon Horst, the team's director of basketball operations, as the man to take over for longtime GM John Hammond.
Horst has had his current role since 2008, when Hammond was hired as GM.
Hammond played that role for nine seasons and helped cement the franchise's upward future with draft picks such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker.
ESPN reported that the Bucks could not come to an agreement with assistant GM Justin Zanik as the new general manager.
