Two Milwaukee-area restaurants are ditching straws.
Molly Snyder of OnMilwaukee.com reports that Engine Company No. 3 and La Merenda, both owned by Peter and Sonia Sandroni, stopped offering customers straws at the beginning of this year.
It reportedly has nothing to do with money however, rather for environmental reasons.
Feedback from customers has been mixed.
The two restaurants already use wooden spoons and only bring water to tables if people ask.
