72 years ago on June 6, 1944, American soldiers stormed the beaches at Normandy.

The landings at the beach was called "the beginning to the end of the war in Europe."

What do we know now about that day that previous generations didn't?

Christopher Kelly wrote the book, "America Invades: How We've Invaded or Been Militarily Involved with Almost Every County on Earth."
