Kobe Bryant: Real problem with sports isn't participation trophies

The complaint has been loud and clear in recent years about the idea that participation trophies are useless in youth sports, and that we need to only reward winning.

Kobe Bryant, the longtime and now-retired L.A. Laker who has a few championship trophies on his mantle, suggests instead that those trophies are OK...if used for a purpose.
