Suspect in Portage bank robbery captured after high speed chase near Madison

A 40-year-old Madison man is facing felony charges after allegedly robbing a credit union in Portage on Friday.

A man dressed in all black walked into Summit Credit Union around 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, and displayed a gun.

He tied up all employees in the building and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The vehicle seen leaving the robbery was later found and a high-speed chase ensued on I39/90/94.

Eventually the suspect crashed and Jeffrey Parker, 40, of Madison, was taken into custody.
