Social media threats have Waukesha parents on edge

Parents in Waukesha are angry after threats were made to students over social media. The principal of Hawthorne Elementary sent an email and voice message to parents Tuesday morning saying the threats were made over the app Music.ly.

"I'd like to know exactly what the situation was," says parent Mallory Robert. "Was it a threat to another student or to the school? Was it someone just bullying another student?"

Other parents, like Jamie Esser aren't keeping such a level head.

"I want to switch schools," says Esser. "I feel like if that kid, or any other kid for that matter, came in the next day with a gun or any kind of weapon, we would have no idea what was going on."

The district says the threat is not credible and that police are still investigating.
