Sam and Joey Hauser to both leave Marquette

Listen below to Bryan Dee's take on the departure of Sam and Joey Hauser from Marquette.

Two brothers who have helped Marquette reach their recent successes are leaving the program.

Lance Allan of TODAY'S TMJ4 reports that older brother Sam Hauser and younger brother Joey Hauser are both departing Marquette.

The university later confirmed the report.

“We are thankful for all that Sam and Joey contributed to our program and University during their time at Marquette and wish them the best of luck in the future,” Coach Steve Wojciechowski said in a university statement.

“We have a tremendous group of returning players and are extremely excited about the upcoming season and future of our program.”

Sam Hauser shared this message on social media.

In three years at Marquette, Sam has averaged 12.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

A freshman last year, Joey had 9.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest.

The news also is coming on the day that, apparently, fans are receiving season ticket renewals with price increases coming.
