Fallen MPD officer escorted to funeral home

A procession carrying the body of fallen Milwaukee Police Officer Matthew Rittner will make it's way from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office to the Krause Funeral Home on Capitol Drive on Thursday.  Watch TODAY'S TMJ4 coverage below.

Officer Rittner's remains have arrived at the Krause Funeral Home in Brookfield.

The procession looped around Miller Park, where Officer Rittner was married. 


Update 5:06 pm

After passing the police station at 47th and Vliet, where Rittner spent much of his time, the procession now heading into Miller Park's parking lots.

The procession has begun.  Officer Rittner will be taken to Miller Park before the Honor Guard brings him to Krause Funeral Home.

The procession will end at Krause Funeral Home in Brookfield.

A date and time has not yet been set for his funeral, but is expected this weekend or early next week.
